Ladybug Yoga

 ALL Feelings are OK to experience. We don't look forward or like to feel unpleasant emotions, but it is normal to feel off balance from time to time . . .
How do you manage your grouchy and grumpy moments?  Try YOGA!
We rolled Yoga Dice to set up our class.
We sequenced the dice and then worked our yoga practice!
 Chair Pose strengthens ankles, thighs, calves, and spine. It stretches chest and shoulders.  It's especially beneficial for those of us with flat feet!๐Ÿฆถ
Tree Pose stretches your legs, body and shoulders.  It strengthens ankles, calves, and tones the tummy.  Balancing postures, like tree pose, improve your focus and concentration skills.๐Ÿง 
Butterfly Pose stretches inner thighs, hips, and low back.๐Ÿฆ‹
Bow Pose works the muscles in your back, stomach, arms, and legs.  It stretches your throat, chest, arms, stomach, hips, thighs, and ankles.  When you bend your back, you activate spinal nerves, increase circulation, and strengthen the entire length of the spine.๐Ÿน
We rested in a garden filled with ladybugs!

BEE Strong

This pose is called "Mountain." Every muscle in the body engages.  It improves your posture!  When practiced regularly, it may reduce back pain.  This pose is an opportunity to work your thighs, knees, ankles, tummy, and bum.  Today is International Day of Yoga!  The aim is to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.  You do not have to be a pretzel to yoga.  You do not have to have a certain body type or fitness level.  Yoga is like a buffet, and everybody can eat! You pick the foods that are just right and not too spicy.๐ŸŒถ Yoga doesn't ask you to believe anything, although you have the opportunity to sit still and quiet and explore what you do believe.  Yoga encourages you to listen: to your body, to others, to the world . . .

DPB (D'Etta Price Broam) says, "Try a Triangle on Tuesday!" It's an opportunity to "adjust your sails?!" You'll also stretch and strengthen your legs, hip, and back! You'll tone the knees and ankles, open chest and shoulders while you rev up your digestive system and relieve stress.

Half Moon for Full Moon

Tonight is a FULL MOON! ๐ŸŒ Try a "Half Moon Yoga Pose" to celebrate. ๐ŸŒ› The benefits of any balancing posture include sharpening focus and concentration skills.  This movement also relieves anxiety and fatigue, improves digestion, and tones abs, thighs, glutes, and lower back muscles.  You can use a wall, chair, or yoga block for support as needed.

The United Nations proclaimed June 21 as International Day of Yoga in December 2014.  The aim is to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.  The theme in 2019 is "Climate Action."  Here's some trees to create cleaner air and a better world in which to breathe!๐ŸŒŽ
"Tree Yoga Pose" stretches legs, body, and shoulders.  It strengthens ankles, calves, and tones the tummy.  It's helpful for those of us with flat feet or sciatica issues.๐ŸŒณ
"Blown Palm Yoga Pose" stretches the side body, lengthening the oblique stomach muscles and the intercostal muscles between the ribs.๐ŸŒด
