Green Eggs and Yoga

We warmed up singing an active song:

What's your favorite story by Dr. Seuss?

Did you know Dr. Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham on a dare?  “Green Eggs and Ham” uses only 50 different words. Seuss's editor bet him after “The Cat in the Hat,” which used 225 words, that he couldn't write a book using fewer.

Here's our green eggs:

And here's our ham:
(We are piggies, pre-processed!!)🐷

WHERE will you eat green eggs and ham?

Not in a house . . .

Not in a car . . .

Not in a tree . . .

Not in the dark . . .

Will you eat them with a goat?

on a boat?

We are trying new things at yoga:

Less Llama Drama

We enjoyed a LLAMAzing yoga practice today!
We breathed with llama mudra.

If Llama Llama Red Pajama had taken deep breaths, maybe he could have been more patient with his Mama?! Breathing facilitates LESS llama drama.

We warmed up by moving like the sunshine!🌞

Is Your Mama a Llama?
No . . . she's a SWAN (heron pose)!

No . . . she's a COW!

No . . . she's a SEAL (up dog yoga posture)

No . . . she's a KANGAROO (chair)

 YES!
She's a LLAMA (pyramid)!

During final relaxation, we took a llama hike and campout!

LLAMAste is what we say to the good in you from the good in me!🎢

Love to Laugh on Valentines

We began with a movement song:
First you shake the hand of another yogi!

Then you high five another hand, fluff another head, bump another hip, and hug another bod.

We tried this mudra (yoga for your hands):
Heart Shaped Mudra
 It was a challenge . . .
but we kept on trying!
"GOT IT!"

We worked a Warrior 2 Posture to be Cupid!
Cupid shoots arrows to grow love in people's hearts. πŸ’•
"P-YING!" (sound of arrow flying through the air)↖↗↑↘←↙↓

What do you call two birds in love?
Tweethearts

What did one volcano say to the other?
"I lava you!"πŸŒ‹

What do owls say to declare their love?
"Owl be yours!"

What did the farmer give his wife on Valentines Day?

Hogs🐷 and KissesπŸ’‹

What do you call a ghost's true love?
His ghoul-friendπŸ‘»

Next, we lovingly rocked our babies!

During our Magic Carpet Ride,
we traveled to a place we love.

"Who do you love?"
"My Mom and Dad"

Hope your Valentines Day is . . .
TOADally Awesome!🐸

My GFY's "Marvelous Mottoes" and "Quotable Quotes"

(1) My first interaction with GFY was "GFY@Home," A Self-Study Program with Mentoring ~ Through this program offered in 2010, I received the following feedback from Mira: "What struck me first when reading this was something I often say to the kids in my classes. We are already whole, already perfect. We've been raised in a society that teaches us to strive for more, better, next. But right now is all we have, and it is just what it is. We can strive AND it's important to remember that what we need is already who we are, it's already a part of us. So when you say not "there", I say you are "here"! ;-)"

(2) My second opportunity was GFY @ Home "Live" ~ Mira would discuss a topic and you could interact over the phone with an access code or download and listen later. Mira often "signed off" with "Together as a community we can achieve more, inspire others, and reveal a brighter future for all of us. This isn't just what we do, but who we are."

(3) Then I had the INCREDIBLE experience of attending sessions LIVE and IN PERSON in Chicago!!! During these trainings, I tallied the ideas Mira said you should do "every day" . . . locust, switch breath, triangle, agni sara . . . and committed to memory, "In me there is a light that lights the whole world! It radiates truth, boundless will, action and knowledge."

What GFY's "Marvelous Mottoes" and "Quotable Quotes" still ring true for YOU?❤️

What are your most effective centering strategies to begin class with young yogis?  I like to use the singing bowl and listening bells.  Balancing Peacock Feathers has always been a popular one.  Breathing techniques work too. Does anybody have a song?  Something to try when your yogis are riled up, rootin' tootin', and rambunctious from a long day of school/work?  I have an after school group that sometimes are challenged with "beginning" . . . Thank you for sharing your ideas!😁

Feature #6 for GFY Ohana~
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a GFY featured member!  I've enjoyed sharing memories, what I learned, and how I share with folks in my sphere of influence.  I trained to work with children but have been busy sharing yoga with the "tall and the small."  I find many adults enjoy the playful approach, and I have learned to appreciate the "unfolding" . . . what you thought you'd do and what you end up doing, not always the match you expect?!  To borrow Mira's words, "But right now is all we have, and it is just what it is." "Here" is what is, and it is good.

The website I manage for my yoga business is:  http://zipadeebee.com/

You can like "zipaDeeBee" on Facebook too. 😊

On school days, I post a silly hat, motivational thought, great book, yoga pose or other inner engineering strategy at http://vitamindb.blogspot.com/ or you can like "vitaminDB" on Facebook for these daily quips!

I post yoga pics here:  http://zipadeeyoga.blogspot.com/

My website for school counselor fun is: https://sites.google.com/site/mrsbroam/

I also manage a Google Site to track more yoga:

I developed a workshop, "Balance Your Teacher Totter," that I'm working on publishing on the Udemy platform.

Thank you, again, for the opportunity to hang out in this special way!  SHINE ON!🌞
