I am THANKFUL for YOU!

It was great to meet folks at Gilbert Elementary School this past week!  Looking forward to working with y'all again.  I've added you all to my email group--if you'd rather not receive these emails (and this goes for anybody), please let me know.  Every now and then I share a tip or advertise what we're studying.  I also post on a ZipaDeeBee Facebook page. If you're a Facebooker, please "like" the page!

At Gilbert we were "thankful," and we'll do a "thankful" practice at Pisgah Yoga this week.  Kiddos classes are 4:30-5:30 and People Taller than Me (that would be most adults) is 5:30-6:30 at Pisgah Lutheran Church's Large Conference Room on Wednesday evenings.  This month we're studying 1 Thessalonian 5:16-18.  We've been joyful and explored prayer, and Wednesday we'll be thankful in all circumstances.  Join us if you want to and your schedule allows!  It's $12 drop in or $8 if you purchase a $48, 6 class pass.

In December, Pisgah Yoga will check out AARDVARKS!  The first week of December is "Aardvark Week."  We'll discover how aardvarks are unique, just like people.  We'll sing "Aardvarks are Our Friends" and try some partner pose fun.  We'll consider connection to nature and Source too.  Join us December 3, 10 and 17!

On Wednesday, 11/12, we considered how prayers are quiet, in our heads/hearts, or shared aloud.  Sometimes we read prayers, sometimes we pray for the heart.  We sing prayers too:

"Waves of Mercy"

"I Will Call Upon the Lord"

"Simply focusing for a minute on the experiences in our lives we're grateful for shifts our thinking to a calmer, more content perspective, which can immediately uplift and comfort us.  When we make the expression of gratitude a regular practice--whether we make a daily written list or a mental tally of things we're grateful for as we start or end each day--we train our brain to shift to a positive mind-set more efficiently and maintain a healthier, more optimistic perspective." The Mind Up Curriculum, PreK-2--Thank you for sharing this resource, Colleen!

I am THANKFUL for YOU!
Namaste,

Joyful Experiences

We had joyful practices yesterday! We explored heart openers and lifted our spirits with a heart healing meditation. The kiddos tried a whiff of the Young Living "Joy" blend of essential oils: bergamot, ylang ylang, geranium, lemon, coriander, tangerine, jasmine, roman chamomile, palmarosa and rose.

Turn up the corners of your mouth with this happy dance:

You might want to practice your windmill arms:

and jolly juggling skills in preparation for this zipaDee-DANCE!

Tomorrow night is FAMILY YOGA at Pisgah. We'll dig into Irish/Celtic mythology and learn about Dagda. He was a big, jovial, boisterous fellow believed to have both super-human strength and appetite. He was considered the god of life and death, banquets and magic. Should be another joyful evening at Pisgah!
