Thank you for taking care of yourself and MEETING ON THE MAT when you can!

Thought from Deni, Edisto Beach Yogi:

No matter what age...Yoga will keep the body and MIND young.  This is the message that I try to spread to all those that ask me about the practice of Yoga. It's not just about the body looking good...there is so much more to it.  Yoga gets richer and more wonderful with age.

FAMILY YOGA on Monday, January 20

The Large Conference Room at Pisgah Lutheran Church is AVAILABLE on MONDAY, January 20 from 12:00-1:00!

If you've wanted to try Family Yoga but never have or if you've enjoyed a class in the past and wanna come out for more fun, PLEASE JOIN US!

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat (if you have one) or a beach towel will work too.  I have 6 extra mats if you'd like to borrow one.

We'll explore PEACE and NONVIOLENCE on Martin Luther King's Birthday Holiday.  A Family Yoga class involves breathing, stretching, and strengthening muscles.  The skills we practice on the mat translate to flexibility and resilience as you navigate your days.

The cost will be $9 for adults and $4 for children.  Checks should be made payable to "Zipadeebee, LLC."  Zipadeebee pays $1 per person attending to Pisgah Lutheran Church from this fee.

"Call it a clan, all it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family.  Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one."  Jane Howard

Have some fun MOOving with your family and Mrs. Broam on MONDAY!

BEE Kind

We enjoyed sharing "KINDNESS" tonight!  KINDNESS is one of the fruits of the Spirit.  KINDNESS is shared via body language, word choice, tone of voice and actions.   When others put ICK on your heart, it's IN your CIRCLE OF CONTROL to respond with KINDNESS .  .  .  not EASY, but it's YOUR CHOICE.

I opened up a book Julia shared tonight:  Carry on Warrior, Thoughts on Life Unarmed by Glennon Doyle Melton.  The dedication includes a quote by Rev. John Watson:  "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." I love when I notice the Spirit at work.  :-)

Sunday is "Relax and Renew" from 2:00-3:00.  Let me know if you are coming so I can bring enough props to keep you comfy as you stretch.

On Wednesday, January 22, 5:30-6:30 we'll dig into GOODNESS, our next fruit of the Spirit to explore.

We will meet TUESDAY, January 28, 5:30-6:30 the following week because I will be on a plane to Chicago on Wednesday, January 29 during our regularly scheduled time.

YOGA TIP for today -- BOAT posture develops balance, poise, and concentration as you strengthen your abs!

FLOAT YOUR BOAT on down to Pisgah--we're missing a lot of familiar faces this new year!  Take care of you, and we'll hope to meet you all on the mat sooner than later!

NAMASTE,
D'Etta
