I am so thankful our P.E. program shares how we can help ourselves, our school and OTHERS through our annual Pleasant Hill Elementary School Mini-Marathon. Children secure sponsorships to run and money raised helps our school and The Smile Train nonprofit. This year ALL the money goes to The Smile Train. We are helping children born with cleft lip and palate "find their smiles!" It only costs $250 to sponsor a surgery. Pleasant Hill Elementary has sponsored over 800 surgeries during the past 11 years!! When I think about that, I'm moved to try to help a little more! My yoga classes would like to offer a donation-based class on Wednesday, April 4, 5:30-6:30, in the Pisgah Lutheran Church Gym. Bring a mat and donation, wear comfortable clothes, and join us as we explore Smiles, Trains and The Smile Train effort to make the world a better place, one smile at a time.
