Meet Bobbi's Feet Feat

Bobbi Gibb was the first woman to run the Boston Marathon in 1966!

In honor of Bobbi Gibb and Women's History Month . . .  
 We worked our feet today!

Toe-Ups!  Can you lift a single toe?

Can you pick up a pen with your tootsie toes?


We passed a juice jug with our friendly feet.

Bobbi had to wear a skirt to school.  Those were the rules.  We worked our triangle pose to be the shape of her skirt.

When training, Bobbi ran through the woods!  Here is a tree in the woods.

During our relaxation opportunity, we raced through the woods .  .  . 
listening to birds, chasing squirrels, and crunching leaves under our fast feet!
We practiced a closing mantra:
Loka -- human race, folks, ordinary life
Samastha -- whole, combined, united
Sukino -- pleasant, delight, happiness, good space
Bhavanthu -- they shall
"May all folks in the world have good space, have good feeling.  May all beings everywhere be happy."
“May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”

When thinking of the story of Bobbi Gibb:  May all people be who they are designed to be, running fast and running free!
