Cock-a-doot-doodle-doo!

We raised over $200 for Palmetto Health Baptist's 28th Annual Walk for Life!!

We explored four yoga chick boks! boks! boks! during our Saturday fundraising practice.



Chicken Little has a BIG reaction to a small event . . . how often do we OVERDO?  Now flip that thought, and maybe if we do a little bit and little bit, we'll make a BIG difference?!  All the contributions to our fundraiser added up!!


Interrupting Chicken cannot stop flapping her beak . . . when you are a good listener, your mouth is resting, and your body is calm.  Good listeners turn on their ears, brain, eyes and heart!  Thank you for listening to the needs of others and responding with love to our fundraiser for Palmetto Health Baptist's Walk for Life.


When your focus is scrambled and you're filled with doubt, channel the warrior inside of you!!  We practiced Warrior 1, 2, and 3 and Peaceful Warrior too.  Your GRIT is IN your circle of control.  It's the one measure that truly is an indicator of success.



Whatever you think about, your bring about.  Manage your fear, repeat a positive mantra, and stand in your power.  Your life CAN and WILL make a difference.  It ALREADY HAS!

Three More Strategies for Relaxation

We learned three more strategies for relaxing today!  We learned to breathe like a ferris wheel?!

We learned to squeeze our bodies like toothpaste tubes!
tighten your muscles and 
then relax them!

We reviewed strategies like balloon breath:

We practiced balancing and moving like the sun.  We made a triangle with our bodies and told a story about Worry Wilma!

Half Dozen Strategies

We balanced peacock feathers and trees!







When moving like the sunshine, we practice a backbend called "sphinx."



We enjoyed a magic carpet ride as our final strategy for relaxation today.

A Dozen Strategies for Relaxation

We're STANDING TALL as we learn a dozen strategies for relaxation in September!  These strategies relax our minds, breath and bodies.  

We learned the first three strategies today.

The mini Hoberman Sphere is a great tool for taking a deep breath.  We used the BIG Hoberman Sphere to celebrate a great helper at the end of our practice!

We are making a positive difference with our yoga.

TAKE A SEAT for PEACE!  We are exploring peace builders during our current 8-week session of chair yoga.  Next up, Mother Teresa.  She encouraged time for play every day!  Folks need play to be able to do the hard work we are called to do.  "Peace begins with a smile!!"~Mother Teresa 😃 We have lots of opportunities for smiles at Pisgah Chair Yoga!  Join us Wednesdays @ 4:45-5:15.
