Sharing Kindness at Camp T.A.L.K.

Ready to Share Kindness at Camp T.A.L.K.

We balanced peacock feathers to remind us our yoga helps us to find balance in our bodies, brains, and heart!
It's not easy, but we can try and try again!

What are some ways to show KINDNESS?  Smiling and greeting others, listening and talking to people who may need a friend,  taking care of pets,  picking up trash, lending a helping hand to those in need

We took deep breaths to calm and begin our yoga practice.
Can you move the hands on your belly and heart when you breathe?

Next we warmed up our bodies by pretending to be a . . .
 cow🐄
and cat!🐈

We spelled KINDNESS by moving like the moon:
Extend the Mountain for the "K"

Side S-t-r-e-t-c-h for "I"

Horse Pose for "N"

Star Pose for "D"

Triangle Pose for the second "N"

Pyramid Pose for "E"

Low Crescent Lunge for "S"

Side Lunge for the second "S"

Next we shared the story of Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree!

There is a tree and a boy in this story.

The boy climbs the tree, swings from her branches.

He eats her apples

and takes naps in her shade.

Throughout the story, the tree continues to give to the boy.
Like when she gives him her apples to sell and make money.

Here's a seated tree pose . . .

and a seated tree twist.

We are trying new things!

"May YOU be safe, healthy, and happy."
 We rested . . .
and shared one more story and song.

We will create a positive change in the world when we share kindness!
