Field Trip Day

Today we enjoyed a Yoga Field Trip to the Zoo!

We warmed up our bodies . . .

and pretended to be these animals at the zoo!

With yoga, you can pretend to be . . .
a snake or

turtle or

a bird standing still or

soaring high!

Yoga is one way to create peace in our bodies and the world!

See you for Pisgah CDM Yoga in SEPTEMBER!

We will continue the mission to create lives that make a POSITIVE difference!

More Parachute Yoga Fun

We tuned in to experiment which tone lasted the longest:
wood chime, singing bowl, or listening bells?

Connection to last week's yoga time:  What was something George ate in the story Bark, George by Jules Feiffer?
He ate a pig!

We warmed up . . .
to play "Parachute Yoga!"

"One, Two, Three, Four, flap the parachute some more!
Five, Six, Seven, Eight, pick a toy, and we'll feel great . . . "

pretending to be a frog . . .

 pretending to be lizards . . .

 pretending to be a turtle . . .

pretending to be a tiger . . .

We rested, breathing a toy up and down, like it was bobbing with an ocean wave!

Thinking about THINKING

Tonight at Cedar Grove Yoga, we will explore "T=Thoughts" in our "Do _Y_our _E_fforts and _T_houghts _I_nspire?" yoga series. Thank you, Kelly Branning, for sharing the "Four Agreements" with me today! I will share as a part of Cedar Grove's fun tonight!
You are right. It is about "timing."🕛🕐🕑🕒🕓🕔🕕🕖🕗🕘🕙🕚🕛

Career Moves

I am BRAVE and STRONG and can help kitties that climb too tall trees . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady wearing a fireman's hat s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g a seated tree

I inherited my job to lead my country . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady wearing a crown and folding forward while sitting on the king's royal throne

I am a FEARSOME WARRIOR and have issues with ownership . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady with a Viking Hat rowing a boat out to sea to pillage and plunder

You need me to safely guide on your safari . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady wearing a Pith Helmet, breathing like a lion,

tiger, or bear . . . Oh, my!

Fasten your seat belts, return your tray to the upright position . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady wearing an aviator hat and goggles
landing the plane safely, with balance

I can make pizza or stir soup . . . Who am I?
a yoga lady wearing a chef hat baking a pizza in a wide-legged, forward fold oven
and strengthening her core while stirring the pot!

What CAREER MOVES will you make?

"Hats OFF" to Camp T.A.L.K.

It was HAT DAY at Camp T.A.L.K. on Tuesday so we enjoyed BIG fun yoga-ing with HATS!

We organized our time together by moving through a good story!

Here's our bird in a tree . . .
 We rang the cow's bell:
 and listening bells!

We sang about bananas and
 s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d our side bodies!

We moved like the sunshine

to build heat in our bodies and keep our muscles warm and safe from injury.

Mrs. Honey wears her hat to the beach in the story and encounters a . . .
CRAB!

Yoga helps us create peace in our hearts! When we create peace in our hearts, we make the impossible possible!

"Bark, George!"

We tuned in with listening bells . . .

and glitter balls.

We read a fun story and pretended to be the animals in the story.

After working hard,

we rested well . . .

and tracked our progress with stickers.

We wrapped class with this song:
