Practicing Patience

Dr. Seuss' Birthday is March 2!  We celebrated his story
to "Practice Patience."

Lazy Mayze is a bird who

does not want to sit on her egg.

She tricks Horton into sitting on it and then flies to Palm Beach!

Horton reinforces the tree and then climbs up to hatch the egg.

Other animals, like these giraffes

and lizards, make fun of Horton sitting on the egg . . .

Hunters capture Horton and transport him by boat  . . .

to the circus!  Here are flags on the circus tent.

Mayze sees Horton at the circus and wants her egg back . . .
(To be Mayze we practiced the Eagle Posture)

but it is too late . . .  Read this good book to find out Dr. Seuss' surprise ending!

To strengthen and lengthen your patience . . .
take time to be quiet and still!
